MANSOA stanndleyi BIGNONIACEAE/ 'Huigagen' 'Ajus Huasca'/ This is known as the 'Garlic Vine' on account of the scent of the leaves, and infusion of which prevents the contraction of malaria. The plant also treats colds, fevers, aches and pains. //One of a set of four limited edition prints from original paintings by Sophia Louise Josheph. The illustrations form part of a study of medicinal plants carried out by the Rainforest Information Centre, who have been working in Ecuador since 1986.
