Summary

Pair of mahogany veneered knife boxes, with satinwood and ebony banding, twisted rope borders. Sloping hinged lid inlaid with thistle motif in an oval, above serpentine front bearing a silver shield shaped escutcheon plate. Compartmentalised interior.
