Summary
One of a collection of twenty two blue and white Dutch delftware tiles, hand painted underglaze blue decoration on white ground. Various rural landscapes contained in roundel, single foliate spray to each corner. cf. those in Gun Room. , cf.SPE.M.112.B. This tile shows a picture of a figure crossing a bridge consisting of three arches, a small animal, possibly a dog, in front of the person. There is also a building on a cliff to the right of the tile and buildings beyond the water.
