Carriage clock - An English engraved gilt-brass carriage timepiece, circa 1840, 2y2-inch silvered dial with subsidiary seconds, the eight day spring barrel movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement and plain steel balance, the rectangular case with leaf-cast handle to the sunk top, engraved with leaf sprays on the front and sides and with shuttered back.
