Summary
Festoon green brocade curtain, remade in 1979. Lined and interlined with cotton sateen and a matching shaped pelmet (NT 1191284.2), with gold fringe and braiding.
Provenance
Made in 1979 by Anne-Marie Milinaric in London using material from curtains purchased by the Ministry of Works from the sale of the contents of Beningbrough Hall in 1958; transferred to National Trust with the hall that year. There were various sets of green curtains acquired at this time so it is unclear which were used here, though possibly those described in Lot 613 of sale catalogue as "two pairs of green damask curtains, lined and interlined, with gold braided borders and shaped pelmets" and then hanging at either end of the first floor corridor.
