Summary

An inlaid mahogany wheel barometer, English, circa 1805, 8-inch silvered dial signed J.Pini, Chichester with concave cast brass bezel, the shaped case with architectural broken-pediment, inset with an alcohol thermometer, outlined with ebony and holly stringing and inlaid with shells and flowerheads. Introduced to the Property by Agatha Christie Mallowan. Inventory taken just before the house was requisitioned by the American Navy 1942, page.4 Lounge Hall
