Summary
Sandalwood fly whisk, with turned, carved handle the flexible strands bound to the handle with cotton thread and decorated at the top with gold thread, yellow and cerise silk and with the remains of a tinsel fringe. S.India (prob. Mysore), c.1800. See 'Treasure of India' catalogue pg.93. Most of the strands are missing.
