Summary
Livery waistcoat, Scarlet wool with raised nap. Hand machine sewn, shawl collar faced with lining, opening with 4 buttons decorated with Herbert crest (coronet and wyvern) and buttonholes to points at front. Two pockets. Lined throughout with scarlet cotton (satin weave). Metal buckle at the back. Embroidered label - SIMPSON and SON (LIVERY OUTFITTERS) LTD. 13 SOUTH AUDLEY ST. W1'; handwritten 'Stannard 7.6.27'
