Summary
Watercolour and pencil on paper, Lady Lucy Graham, Countess of Powis (1793-1875) by Mary Leighton. Inscribed along the bottom: The Countess of Powis 1839, The Lady Lucy Clive, M.L. delt Sep 1833. A half-length portrait, the sitter is turned to her left. Her hair curled and pinned up and painted brown. her large gold and jewelled earrings and necklace painted on yellow and red. She is wearing an off the shoulder dress woth bows down the centre front.
