Summary
Canteen case - Oak case with lift out tray with brass swing handles and the lid inset with a brass shield. Containing a canteen of flatware, Queen's pattern hallmarked London 1911, 'G and S Co. Ltd'. Canteen comprising of 6 tablespoons (S.196.2-7), 6 forks (S.196.8-13), 6 dessert spoons (S.196.14-19), 6 dessert forks (S.196.20-25) all in tray; lower section contains 6 tablespoons (S.196.26-31), 6 forks (S.196.32-37), 6 dessert forks (S.196.38-43) and 6 dessert spoons (S.196.44-49). (49 subparts on inventory but no indication what these relate to). All flatware has the same hall mark (image POW3108.JPG) except one of the dessert spoons (image POW3112.JPG).
