Caption
At the turn of the 20th century G.F. Bodley was employed by George 4th Earl of Powis to remodel the castle interiors. Henry Charles Brewer produced this watercolour to demonstarte the proposal for the State Dining Room to the Earl. The painting is very close to the finished room.

Purchased by Mr Stanley William Fewster from "Blackdown Gallery" - Dee in 1971/72. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Mr Stanley W.Fewster in 1989.
