Summary
Firearm accessory. Pistol case - Mahogany case, with brass lock, hinges, lid escutcheon and folding handle. The lid escutcheon engraved with P.J.C. The interior lined with green velvet and divided into compartments, with 2 lids (with small bone handles). One compartment contains an additional 4 lead shells and 18 lead balls. Interior of lid with trade label of James Beattie, 205 Regent Street, London.(Formally on inventory as POW.MIL.19)
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
