Print, aquatint, Government House and Council Chamber, Triplicane, Madras by Edward Orme (1774-c.1828). Published by Edward Orme, 1807. Dedication below the picture to 'The Right Hon.ble Edward Clive, Earl of Powis', in English and French. The buildings in the middle and background, the figures in the foreground left surround a palanquin other figure carrying a palanquin in centre middle Coat-of-arms in centre below the picture.
Provenance
Brought to Powis Castle from Walcot Hall in 1930. Purchased by the National Trust with funding from The National Heritage Memorial Fund from John George Herbert, 8th Earl of Powis and Powis Estate Trustees in August 1999
