Andiron. One of a pair of early Victorian cast iron and brass andirons c1845-55, designed by A.W.N.Pugin and manufactured by John Hardman and Co, Birmingham.
Provenance
Formerly located in Bow Drawing Room, East Wing. Amongst chattels previously on loan to the National Trust from the Myddelton family. These chattels were purchased on behalf of the National Trust in the Christie's auction at Chirk on 21st June 2004.
