Summary
Stained glass window panel. A panel of stained glass, the upper half depicting King David wearing a blue robe and an ermine-timed deep red cloak, sitting on a throne in front of an ashlar wall playing the harp, on a complex leaded background by William Price the Younger. The lower half showing six roundels, four containing different coats-of-arms relating to the Yorke family i.e. Yorke/Grey, Anson/Yorke, Yorke/Freman and Heathcote/Yorke. Along the bottom of the panel is a painted dedication by Philip Yorke.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
