Summary
Sash window weight. Cylindrical iron weight with oval hole near the top, holding the knot of a short piece of sash cord with protrudes through a second, circular hole at the top of the weight. There is a rectangular depression at the front under the hole which has three snags in the metal in a triangular shape. The bottom section has an irregular hole and is very rough.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
