Summary
Embroidered mat. The mat is made of undyed linen plain weave. The embroidery consists of undyed linen thread in satin, pulled and cut work, and shows a geometric motif in one corner. There is an open work hem on four sides, and also a laundry mark.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
