Summary
Pelmet/Valance. One of five curtains and fragments crimson silk warp, blue/grey. Cotton weft, warp faced satin ground, unbalanced plain weave motifs. The repeat of Renaissance plant motifs is not complete. Interlining bump, lining as pelmet/valance and trimming .4. Also trimmed with pink and silk ribbon 15mm with two brass buckles. The structure is hand and machine sewn, edged one side, hemmed three sides, heading band one side.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
