Summary
Pelmet/valance. One of five curtains and fragments of crimson silk warp, blue/grey. Cotton weft, warp faced satin ground, unbalanced plain weave motifs. The repeat is of Renaissance plant motifs is not complete. Lining as in .2 and interlining canvas. Trimming is of braid 33mm, blue and pink cotton braid and looped fringe webbing heading band. The structure is hand and machine sewn, cut two ends, edged one side, heading band and tacks one side.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
