Summary
Photograph. A photograph of a man and a woman with a horse, crossing an extensive stretch of water, bounded by hillsides and with a building on the far side. The man, wearing a brimmed hat ,is riding on the horse, while the woman is in the water with her skirt hitched up above her knees. She is wearing a hood covering her head and shoulders. There are several small rocks in the water.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
