Summary
Embroidered mat. It is made of undyed cotton plain weave, and has a styalised flower motif within a border. The embroidery consists of floss silk dyed pale and deep pink, purple, gold and yellow in tampoured chain stitch. There is also cream cotton scalloped buttonhole stitch. The mat is buttonholed on four sides.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
