Summary
Embroidered mat. An off-white cotton plain weave fabric embroidered with cream silk and metal thread on core pulled work, stem and whipped over laid threads. The design is of geometric forms within a square and there is a cut fringe on four sides.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
