Summary
Printed linen squab cover. Undyed plain weave linen, block printed in red and green with Art Nouveau stylized rose bushes with hearts and dots in vertical stripes. The pattern repeat is nineteen by ninety-eight cm and the block size is thirty-eight by twenty-eight cm. The cover is machine sewn over undyed plain weave linen, buttoned, with horsehair filling and self fabric piping.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
