Summary
Fragment of printed linen chair cover. Undyed plain weave linen, block printed in red and green with Art Nouveau stylized rose bushes with hearts and dots in vertical stripes. The pattern repeat is nineteen by ninety-eight cm and the block size is thirty-eight by twenty-eight cm. The fragment is hand and machine sewn and cut uneb=venly on all sides with self fabric piping. A label pinned to the textile reads '1'.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
