Summary
Nursery/cot cover. Fabric: Red wool plain weave 'flannel'. Embroidery: (i) White twill weave, raised nap motifs. Appliqued, goats, elephants, ponies, donkeys, camels, rabbits, a lion, dogs, cows, and the word 'BABY'. With black, blue and gold satin and straight stitches. Also, red wool saddlery and tassells. (ii) Two flags - the Royal Standard and the Union Jack. White, blue, red and yellow silk in straight stitch appliqued. (iii) Roundel with star motif in white, blue, red and yellow silk appliqued. Lining: Undyed baste fibre plain weave unbalanced. Structure: Pinked on four sides. Hand and machine sewn.
