Summary
Cushion cover. An embroidered linen double canvas, down filled cushion with a red cotton satin weave lining. The embroidery is of wool dyed red, pink, green yellow ochre, grey, beige, grey/blue, green/grey, purple/grey and silk dyed ivory and red in cross stitch. The design is of a diamond trellis enclosing 'spade' or 'leaf' shapes and crosses. The trimming is of red silk pom-poms in four groups of three. A four strand twisted cord has replaced an original red silk on cotton core. Hand sewn c. 1900 and down filled.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
