Summary
Coin. An Irish Free State sixpence nickel coin. The obverse shows an image of an Irish harp surrounded by the inscription EIRE 1940 and has a beaded border. The reverse shows an Irish Wolfhound facing left with the inscription 6d above and REUL below and has a beaded border.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
