Summary

Coin. A Belgian Leopold I ten Centimes copper coin. The obverse shows a lion rampant within a circle and an inscription around the outside in French LEOPLOD PREMIER.ROI.DES BELGES.10 CENTIMES. The reverse shows 10 CENTIMES on a checkered background within a circle and an inscription around the outside L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE 1862 between two stars. The edge of the coin is milled.

Provenance

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
