Summary
Coin. A British Copper Company, Walthamstow, Essex copper halfpenny token. The obverse shows the head of Lucius Junius Brutus facing left, with an inscription BRUTUS above. The reverse shows Britannia seated facing left holding an olive branch and a trident, with a shield by her side, all within an oak wreath.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
