Summary
Coins. Three British King George V silver florin coins. The obverse shows the bare head of the King facing left with beaded border surrounding an inscription GEORGIUS V D.G. to the left BRITT . OMN above the head, and REX.F.D.IND.IMP to the right. The reverse shows crowned cruciform shields with sceptres between & surrounded by a beaded border around an inscription ONE at the top left, FLORIN at the top right, 19 at the bottom left and 21 at the bottom right.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
