Summary
Coin. A British King George V silver florin coin. The obverse shows the bare head of the king facing left with a beaded border surrounding the inscription "GEORGIUS.V.D.G." at the left, "BRITT.OMN" at the top of the head, "REX.F.D.IND.IMP" to the right. The reverse shows four crowned cruciform shields with sceptres between and surrounded by a beaded border around an inscription "ONE" at the top left, "FLORIN" at the top right, "19" at the bottom left & "22" at the bottom right.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
