Summary
Coins. Two British Queen Victoria, halfpenny, copper coins. The obverse shows the Queen facing left with the inscription 'VICTORIA.D.G. on the left-hand side and BRITT.F.D. on the right-hand side of the Queen. All surrounded by a beaded border. The reverse shows Britannia seated and the inscriptions HALF on the left-hand side and PENNY on the right-hand side of Britannia. The date of 1882 is at the bottom of the reverse. All is surrounded by a beaded border.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
