Summary
Coins. Two British George VI, silver half crown coins. The obverse shows the head of George VI facing left, surrounded by the inscription GEORGIVS VI.D.G.BR.OMN.REX. and a beaded border. The reverse shows a royal coat of arms and, either side, two small crowns above two entwined letters G, set within a beaded border. The inscription reads FID.DEF.IND.IMP.HALF CROWN.1942.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
