Summary
Heraldic shield. A shield, with a brown background, painted onto panelling attached to a wall, and surrounded by a rectangular, wooden frame. The shield has a black, horizontal band with an indented lower margin across the top (a chief dancetty). Below this, on a white background, there are three black birds with brown chests.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
