Summary
Heraldic shield. A shield, with a brown background, painted onto panelling attached to a wall, and surrounded by a rectangular, wooden frame. The shield bears a gold lion rampant. Underneath the lion, the field is divided diagonally into two; the left side is white ermine and the right side is black ermine.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
