Summary
Heraldic shield. An image, with a brown background, painted onto panelling attached to a wall, and surrounded by a rectangular, wooden frame. The image is defaced, and what it depicts exactly is uncertain, but it possibly shows the head of a lion above a silver and blue, twisted band. There is an inscription below the image.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
