Summary
Letter opener case. A blue velvet covered wooden case with brass hinges. The lid is padded and lined with blue silk and the base lined with blue velvet bordered with pale blue silk and with the indented shape of the letter opener. The initials P and Y intertwined in gold in the centre of the lid and a push button metal catch.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
