Summary
Needle case. A light blue silk taffeta needle case, stiffened with card, sized and painted with three designs. On the flap is an urn with garlands; on the front is a ribbon swag with laurel branches and a sprig of red carnations; on the back is a laurel garland with a ribbon sprig of heartsease, a sprig of moss rose and a basket containing blue tulips. The inside of the needle case is a burgundy wool panel edged in light blue ribbon with one steel needle. There is a light blue ribbon attached to the flap.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
