Summary
Tassel. Purple two-ply wool is formed into a loop, with metal thread on a cotton cone binding the wool in six places. The wool is joined to metal thread loops and a sphere. Two metal thread cords lead from the sphere to two covered wooden cylinder shapes surmounting metal thread and purple wool tassels.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
