Summary

A woden vice comprising a metal screw and nut with a metal rod handle, all screwed through a wooden plate. The wooden plate has two pieces of wood attached at right angles at each end, one secured with two metal screws and the other secured with a metal bolt.

Provenance

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
