Summary
Wooden box. A wooden box with a painted outer surface and two metal handles on either side for carrying. There is a brass keyhole on the front panel, but no key. The lid and base stand out farther than the sides and there are two holding brackets on the underside of the lid.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
