Summary
A box of matches. Thin wooden matchbox in two parts.The inner is covered in purple paper. On the outer there is a red/cream paper label to three sides and a sandpaper striker to one side. There is a full content of unused matches.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
