Summary
Jacket. A lounge jacket dated 1950 (circa). Fabric of black and blue worsted warp and weft, blue probably synthetic weft twill weave. Check with blue fleck. Trimmed with seven buttons. Lined with blue synthetic satin weave; ivory synthetic, diapered ground; brown cotton plain weave. Hand and machine sewn, indented revers, three pockets, two inside breast pockets. Tailors label 'Jackson the Tailor'.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
