Summary
Jacket; Blazer. A striped blazer dated Cambridge 1929. Fabric of dark and pale blue, brown and yellow worsted warp, black worsted weft, warp faced satin weave. Vertical stripes. Trimmed with four brass buttons; one plastic button and three buttonholes. Tailors label 'A.E. Clothier/14 King's Parade/Cambridge' and handwritten 'P.S.Yorke May 1929. Hand and machine sewn, indented revers, three pockets, coat hanger. Moth grazed and worn, buttons missing.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
