Summary
Trousers. A pair of flannel trousers dated 1950 (circa). Fabric of cream wool, twill weave, raised nap. Belt holders; two adjustable straps and buckles; two hip pockets; one back pocket; button fly opening; turn-ups. Top stitching, hand and machine sewn. Lined with undyed bleached cotton plain weave. Label 'J.Smith and Son (Chester)'.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
