Summary
Lace fragment. One of two embroidered Nottinghamshire lace fragments dated 1820-30. Fabric of machine cotton net. Embroidery of undyed cotton in buttonhole, chain, satin, whipping and needlerunning diapered grounds. Design of centre circle within star, edged with sprigged flowers and leaves within scalloped edge. Cut on all sides.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
