Summary
Child's patten. One of two pattens for a child with tooled leather uppers, brown linen tape; wooden soles and an iron ring nailed to the sole. The uppers are tacked to the sole. An attached label reads 'Pattens of Early Georgian time found at Dyffryn Aled near Denbigh seat of Pyers Wynne Yorke Esq.'
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
