Summary
Dress. A beaded dress dated 1930 (circa). Fabric of black cotton net. Trimmed with black chenille, black sequins, black beads including bugle beads attached by couching and straight stitches. Design of leaf forms; lines; swirls; hexagon trellis on bodice. Lined with black cotton plain weave open mesh, 'chiffon'. Hand sewn with a tuck at waist to shorten garment. Fragile, some beading loose. Possibly belonging to L.M.Yorke.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
