Summary
Homburg. A grey homburg dated 1950 (circa). Fabric of grey felt. Trimmed with black petersham ribbon. Lined with brown leather, white silk satin weave. Label 'Locke and Co. Hatters St. James's Street (also stamped on leather) London. Established 1759. Registered Trade Mark' and 'N.Y.L' for Northleigh Yorke Lodge. Mould marks on the brim.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
