Summary

Hat. A black straw hat dated 1920 (circa). Fabric of woven black straw. Trimmed with black cotton net; sprays of velvet flowers including rosebuds and forget-me-knots. Lined with black synthetic band and elastic. Hand and machine sewn.

Provenance

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
